em, i swear by the personal dvd players. we got them last year for the kids and they were a gift from God. we went to L.A. from Washington and nary a peep was heard. Trev watched the serious Planet Earth (?) the entire time, and Betsy watched a variety of dvds. They read too but the dvds came in handy for sure. Scott and I were able to have GROWN-UP conversations for hours. we talked more than we have in the past 10 years combined! it was awesome. will be using them again this year. actually, betsy uses hers all the time, even on the bus. worth every penny. have a great trip. looking forward to hearing all about it...
