This week was Jackson's date night with me. He said he wanted to go to Dairy Queen and get onion rings.I didn't know this 5 year old even knew what they were.
And.... apparently he didn't. Just guess who ate the outside of the rings and who ate the "worms" from the insides? "Here you go, Mom. You can have them." Now THATS true love.
"Kid Date Night"-- where you can safely socially faux paus in trial runs before the real thing.

That's hilarious and gross all at the same time. I love boys - they make no excuses for who they are, they. just. are! :D
Emily, you are so amazing. Too bad you were so darn old in High School when I knew you (like 2 grades ahead of me!). You are a beautiful mother, a fun mother, an inspiring mother, a real mother, and I can tell your family loves your company. Keep blogging because you are inspiring us all!!!
I think those one on one dates are my absolute favorite part about being a mom!
Emily, good for you for doing date nights with your kids! We're trying to start working those in, as we've noticed it makes a LOAD of difference in the happiness of my daughter, especially! As for the miners, was your friend's name Jeanene? Or, her sister Dayna plays the mandolin too. Jeanene is sitting on the couch in that picture, if you can see her, you can see if that's her! She's wonderful, and her voice is gorgeous! Did you work with Mark Geslison at BYU?
Emily,
You inspire me. You are an amazing mother and woman.
Have you liked any of those books?
Anything you didn't already know? Give me a call...lets go do lunch or something (in all your spare time).
